Signed with initials & dated 1860-61; oil on panel: 13¾" x 17". A work by Lidderdale titled “The Inventor” was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1861, No. 383; & a Royal Exchange Art Gallery label dated 1861 to the reverse is inscribed “Inventor (Arkwright)”.
